RANDY KOMISAR lives in the beautiful hills of Portola Valley, California, with his wife, Debra Dunn, and his cunning canines, Lola and Rufus. As a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Randy helps fund and create some of tomorrow’s most visionary companies. He has worked as an attorney in private practice, as the CEO of LucasArts Entertainment and Crystal Dynamics, as a cofounder of Claris Corporation, as CFO of GO Corporation, and as a janitor, baker, and music promoter. He is proud to have helped build such companies as WebTV, TiVo, Global Giving, and Cooliris, among others. He is author of the bestselling book, The Monk and the Riddle: The Art of Creating a Life While Making a Living, as well as numerous articles on entrepreneurship and innovation. Randy has been a consulting professor at Stanford University, and he is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship around the world.
